TITLE: St Francis

LOCATION: Padua Catholic Senior College, Kedron, Brisbane.

DATE: 2000s

NOTES: The sculpture is of Saint Francis of Assisi , the venerated Roman Catholic saint. Here I tried to depict his serenity in nature. He called all creatures his “brothers” and “sisters,” and preached to the birds. The tones I have used arew for the poverty and Christlike-ness he and his followers celebrated.

NOTES: I was trying to symbolise flight in all its simplicity but with an understanding of its intellectual difficulty.
